# Our Residency Site is Interested in Seeing What the Current Students/Applicant Pool Looks Like But We Don’t Plan to Actually Take On a Resident, Is It OK to Post a Position?

A residency site should not post a position to OPRESCAS unless they are certain they will fill a residency position for the advertised time frame.  If you wish to simply learn more about current students or applicants, please reach out to the faculty at the [Orthotist/Prosthetist education programs](https://ncope.org/index.php/home-page-v2/academic-programs/) or attend a residency event hosted at the Academy Meeting or AOPA Meeting.
