On January 1, 2020, Thomas Karolewski, MA, CP, FAAOP<\/a> assumed the chair position for the NCOPE Board of Directors<\/a>.\u00a0 Walter Afable, MBA, CP<\/a> will be assuming the role of immediate past president after helping NCOPE implement numerous milestones including the implementation of the O&P Assistant and Pedorthist Standards via CAAHEP.\u00a0 Tom brings over three decades of clinical and educational experience having served in multiple leadership roles including the Director of Prosthetic Education at Northwestern University and the Supervisor of the Hines VA P&O department.\u00a0 Beyond his impressive resume, Thomas continues to grow as a professional and is currently working towards the completion of his dissertation in education at Concordia University<\/a>.\u00a0 To learn more about Mr. Karolewski, please view his feature in the O&P News<\/a>.\u00a0 Thomas resides in the city of Chicago with his wife, Lori.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
