NAAOP is a national nonprofit association advocating for consumers\/patients requiring orthotic and prosthetic care, as well as the providers who serve them. The NAAOP Breece Fellowship is a paid, 9-week summer program based in Washington, D.C. One Fellow will be competitively selected for the 2026 term.<\/p>\n<p>The Fellow will learn about orthotic and prosthetic (O&amp;P) policy and advocacy at the federal level, and how NAAOP and other O&amp;P organizations function on behalf of the O&amp;P community\u2014and in the broader context of rehabilitation and disability policy and advocacy. The Fellowship also includes exposure to O&amp;P clinical and business settings inside and outside of Washington, DC, and state-based public policy and advocacy, at NAAOP\u2019s expense.<\/p>\n<p>The selection of the Breece Fellow for 2026 will be through a competitive process using an application that can be found <a href=\"https:\/\/www.naaop.org\/_files\/ugd\/3e7e48_7f480a45a33e49c38197a5d4e2fc0dfa.pdf\">here.\u200b <\/a>The deadline for all applicants to electronically submit an application and all related documents is Tuesday, January 20, 2026, by 12:00 Midnight, ET. Finalists will be interviewed via videoconference and one Fellow will be selected by early March. If the finalist selected cannot accept the fellowship for any reason, the next highest ranked candidate will be offered the position. The fellowship is expected to run between late May and early August of 2026.<\/p>\n<p>We request all NAAOP members and friends to widely distribute news of the Breece Fellowship and encourage high quality candidates to apply by the deadline, January 20, 2026.
