Speakers:
- Michelle J. Hall, MS, CPO, LPO, FAAOP(D) is a prosthetist-orthotist with Gillette Children’s Specialty Healthcare. She earned bachelor’s and master’s degrees in biomedical engineering from the University of Iowa and the University of Minnesota, respectively and her O&P education from Northwestern University. Michelle has practiced at Gillette Children’s for over thirteen years and currently serves as their Prosthetics Team Lead and O&P Residency Director. She is a three-time Thranhardt Lecture Series winner and recipient of the Academy’s Clinical Commitment Award. Michelle has volunteered and lectured extensively, most notably she is a past-president of the Academy. Since 2004, Michelle has completed more than 15 road marathon or trail ultra-marathon distance running events. She also enjoys cycling, cross-country skiing, and flying adventures throughout the US with her spouse.
- Christie Daire, MSOP is a 2020 graduate of Century College/Concordia University St. Paul’s MSOP program. She is currently completing an 18-month residency at Arise Orthotics & Prosthetics, Inc. Prior to O&P she had a career as a PDM/ECAD System Administrator before becoming a full-time mom to twins. In her free time, Christie volunteers with the Range of Motion Project (ROMP) and finds some work/life balance by kayaking and biking with family and friends.
- Claude Milsap Jr. is Hanger Clinic’s Director of Sales-West Zone, and is driven by influencing successful patient outcomes and exceeding customers’ expectations. Over the course of his 20 years in healthcare, he has developed trusted relationships within the acute and non-acute hospital rehabilitation/medical settings and is well-versed in hospital (IDN) contracting, sales pipeline development, and management. Claude has a passion for fostering the development of his team and the company’s culture. He enjoys coaching, mentoring, and watching others succeed through his listen first and act second approach, while continuously emphasizing effective communication skills as the key to success. As a member of the Hanger Diversity & Inclusion Council, Claude helps identify the specific actions needed to dismantle systemic racism, interrupt bias, and in turn, make the company, profession, and world a better place.
- Moderator: Jim Lawson is the Manager, Outreach Development at the American Board for Certification in Orthotics, Prosthetics & Pedorthics where he speaks on accreditation and certification at local, regional and national conferences as well as university and pre-certification courses.
