Are you an O&P student or resident ready to put your research in the national spotlight? The O&P Student and Resident Poster Contest at the American Orthotic and Prosthetic Association’s (AOPA) 2026 National Assembly is your opportunity to showcase your work, gain recognition, and connect with leaders across the O&P profession.
AOPA is now accepting submissions for two prestigious O&P student/resident awards to be presented at the 2026 National Assembly, September 9-12 in Las Vegas.
These awards honor outstanding scientific research presented in poster format and celebrate the next generation of O&P leaders:
- Otto and Lucille Becker Award – Best orthotic abstract
- Edwin and Kathryn Arbogast Award – Best prosthetic abstract
These awards are made possible through the generous support from Becker Orthopedic and WillowWood.
Award recipients receive:
- $500 cash prize
- Complimentary 2026 National Assembly registration
- Coach-class airfare to Las Vegas
- 3 nights’ hotel accommodations at the official National Assembly hotel
- National recognition for you and your sponsoring school
- Physical award presented during the 2026 National Assembly
Eligibility requirements:
- Submissions must be original (not previously presented or published)
- The primary author must be a current O&P student or resident at a qualified patient care facility
- Posters must be exhibited and presented onsite at the 2026 National Assembly
