On January 1, 2020, Thomas Karolewski, MA, CP, FAAOP assumed the chair position for the NCOPE Board of Directors. Walter Afable, MBA, CP will be assuming the role of immediate past president after helping NCOPE implement numerous milestones including the implementation of the O&P Assistant and Pedorthist Standards via CAAHEP. Tom brings over three decades of clinical and educational experience having served in multiple leadership roles including the Director of Prosthetic Education at Northwestern University and the Supervisor of the Hines VA P&O department. Beyond his impressive resume, Thomas continues to grow as a professional and is currently working towards the completion of his dissertation in education at Concordia University.
