Fees and Payments

Residency programs and residents

Resident registration fees and residency site accreditation fees.

2027 fees: Site accreditation fees follow the schedule in effect on the accreditation cycle start date, so sites accredited or renewing on or after January 1, 2027 pay 2027 fees. Resident registration fees follow the residency start date: a residency starting on or after January 1, 2027 pays the 2027 fee; one starting on December 31, 2026 pays the current fee.

Registration and application forms ask for payment at the end. Submit payment when prompted, not before. Residency site application fees are non-refundable.

Resident registration payment must be received no later than 60 days after the residency start date to avoid a late fee. For site application fees, a late fee applies when payment is 60 or more days past due. The late fee is $50 under the current schedule and $52 under the 2027 schedule.

Pay Residency Fees

Card or bank (ACH) payment. Hospital, university and VA residency programs may request an invoice; other organizations need prior NCOPE approval. Instructions for payment by check are on the residency fees page.

Academic programs

These fees apply to all programs accredited by, or pursuing accreditation from, CAAHEP at the orthotic and prosthetic technician, orthotist/prosthetist assistant, and orthotist/prosthetist levels. An institution with more than one program pays the fees for each program.

  • Annual accreditation fees are billed in July. CAAHEP bills its own fees separately.
  • Site visits: through December 31, 2026, site visit expenses are charged to the sponsor institution (typically $2,500 to $3,200). From January 1, 2027, a flat all-inclusive site visit fee of $3,090 applies.

Pay Academic Program Fees

Candidacy, initial and continuing accreditation review fees, by card or bank (ACH) payment.

Effective January 1, 2027
