Orthotic & Prosthetic Technician Program Newsletter
Insights From the Editor-In-Chief
Hello,
After the cold snow, rains, and inclement weather, has Spring finally arrived? It seems so, at least here in the Northwest part of the country. And, I might add, it’s delightful!
We continue to offer the Employer Meet and Greet (EMG) sessions to O&P practitioners who wish to introduce their practice to O&P technician students at the four colleges across the country. The EMG sessions are scheduled on Tuesday and Thursday 2-3 times per month and last 35-55 minutes. The sessions are Zoomed into the four tech programs so that the students can visually see the practice and ask questions about working there.
If you have an interest, please let me know. Each of the colleges have several students completing the two-year training in June and are now seeking employment. Our final
sessions this spring will conclude at the end of May. Scheduling for the fall and winter EMG sessions will begin in August 2023.
I’m hoping that the warm Springtime weather greets all of you soon.
Warm Regards,
Ruthie
