Insights From the Editor-In-Chief

Hello,

One of our goals at NCOPE is to introduce O&P technician students to O&P practices that are located outside of the city/state where the student is enrolled in an O&P Technology Program. We do this through Employer Meet & Greet (EMG) sessions often resulting with an O&P practice hiring a graduating technician student.

Beginning in late September, the one-hour EMG sessions will be offered 2-3 times each month (fall, winter, spring). A presentation by an O&P clinician or lab manager is offered at each session via a Zoom call to students in the four O&P Technology Programs. The EMG sessions have been successfully enjoyed by both students and O&P practices located throughout the country.

We are eager to highlight your O&P practice at an Employer Meet & Greet session this fall! Please let me know if you wish to participate in an EMG session during the 2024 fall semester.
