Partial foot prostheses are part of the prosthetic of competencies and not a requirement for an orthotic residency. While partial foot prosthesis are often provided by orthotists (COs) and pedorthists (C.Peds), they are the first series of codes that fall under prosthetic HCPCS Codes which begin with L5000 (which is also a partial foot prosthesis). Visits where the device is listed as a partial foot prosthesis will not be applied towards meeting any orthotic requirement.
