The requirements to serve as a residency mentor are listed in the Orthotic/Prosthetic Residency Standards under Standard 4.2. The requirements include a combination of education, post-certification/licensure experience, and completion of either the Online Residency Program Development Course sections II & III or the Approved Clinical Mentor (ACM) course. A flow chart has been created to help identify if a person is eligible to be a mentor.
