Although residency programs can open the application anytime between ~ Sept 1 of each calendar year through July of the subsequent year, applications are being made visible to candidates earlier each year. It is not uncommon for dozens of applications to be visible in the Fall (Oct-Dec) for positions that will be starting in the Spring or Summer of the subsequent year.
