My Clinic Uses OPIE to Export the “Resident Report” to Upload Case Data Directly Into NCOPE Tracker, Why Would the OPIE Report Not Include All Cases?

2 min read

1. It is important to recognize that OPIE is not a software platform owned or maintained by the NCOPE staff and that support for current software version of OPIE is best handled via OPIE Software.

2. The OPIE “Resident Report” only works appropriately if the clinic uses an optimal workflow, particularly using OPIE Scheduler to identify the residents as an “Assistant” tied to their supervising mentor.

– If the resident is designated as the treating practitioner or has “their own WIP” then the “Resident Report” will not work.

3. A recent resident created a video tutorial to demonstrate how to correct issues with how the OPIE scheduler is utilized to enable the cases to appear in the “Resident Report” generated by OPIE Reports.  The video is embedded below.

If the information on this page and tutorial do not correct issues with exporting case data, please do the following:

1. Log cases manually using “Create or Edit Data Set”

2. Get input from OPIE Software if it is possible to use the optimal clinic workflow in OPIE Scheduler.  If this is possible, given the way your clinic uses OPIE, the resident must log 100% of their cases manually using “Create or Edit Data Set” inside NCOPE Tracker.
