I Received my Orthotist/Prosthetist Training Outside of the US, Can I Enroll in an NCOPE Accredited Residency?

2 min read

Since the inception of the modern O&P residency standards, multiple persons who received their orthotist/prosthetist training outside of the US have registered and completed an NCOPE Accredited residency program and subsequently sought US-based certification via ABC.

To assist persons who earned their orthotist/prosthetist degree outside of the United States, NCOPE has created a resource page to provide guidance about the education requirements and links to services, including the World Education Service (WES) for degree evaluations and the US Department of State for information on obtaining a VISA for persons who are not US Citizens.

Please note that NCOPE cannot sponsor visas for persons who are not US citizens and sponsorship must be facilitated through the residency program sponsor organization.
